Below are a number of things that I have written, some fiction, some otherwise. I provide these for your enjoyment. I hope that you will read them.

I want to be clear about something up front: SOMETIMES, I WORK BLUE. If you are sensitive to such things, you might want to skip In Praise of Phonetics (Chapters 1, 4, and 8 specifically) and Harkenbak the Four. All respect to Justice Stewart, but I think this work is tastefully and artfully racy. Just wanted to put that up there before you nice people got to reading.

-Not Anisette

short story, written in 2005

-In Praise of Phonetics

novel, written in November and December 2005 as part of National Novel Writing Month

-Two Brothers

short story, written in November 2006 as part of an aborted larger work also for NaNoWriMo

-The Complete Harkenbak the Four

monologue, written 2003-2005, posted as blog originally 2005-2006

-Is you is or is you ain't my ham hots?

Short story about a zheng player and a valley, written May 2007

-Ensembles Amassing

undergraduate thesis. Well, I learned a few things from it, and while it's not amazing in terms of content or insight, you might learn a thing or two if you're interested in music that utilizes multiple, simultaneous ensembles within the same piece

-A few chunks from my pretentiously-named "Theoretical Writings"

It's about music, mostly

-various Dialogues

written for various purposes at various times

-Reply All

I was a little bitter when I started it in 2006, I'm not really bitter now, which is 2008, which is when I finished it...
